When screenshot filenames lack clear dates, I use visible timestamps or contextual clues within the image to estimate when the message was sent.

If no date is visible, I place the entry approximately where it belongs in the timeline and mark the date as “unknown.”

Contextual Estimation: Using surrounding events or conversation topics for dating
Approximation: Marking uncertain dates clearly as “unknown”
