When someone shows you who they protect, they’re showing you who they truly value. And in Jeff’s world, it was never us — not me, and not our children. It was always them. His family.
No matter how much harm they caused. No matter how many lines they crossed. He defended them, every time. And the moment I expressed pain or concern? I was the problem. I was accused of being “mean” or “hateful” or “too sensitive.”
